Bal-A-Vis-X - is a series of exercises that coordinate balance, auditory processing, visual processing and intentional movement that uses the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

Exercises “require multiple thousands of midline crossings in three dimensions” while requiring steady rhythm and auditory function “executed at a pace that naturally results from proper physical techniques.” The brain and the body work together to produce a flow of coordinated movement. Exercises are designed with flexibility using sand- filled bags or racquetballs with the option of performing tasks on a balance board. The customized approach to coordination, rhythm and balance can be increasingly complex or increasingly simplified depending on the presenting impairment. Bal-A-Vis-X can be used with individuals and groups and “promotes focused attention, self-challenge, peer teaching.” Kids typically love Bal-A-Vis-X activities.
